Sparkford Hall Weddings

As a professional wedding photographer, I love shooting rural weddings at interesting and unique wedding venues. Having recently relocated to Somerset I have a wishlist of wedding venues in Somerset I would like to shoot at and Sparkford Hall is right there at the top! This quirky wedding venue has so much to offer, and couples love to use it to throw a wedding party that is unique and memorable.

I would like to share some of my favourite features of this versatile wedding venue and why I can’t wait to shoot a wedding there. I have included some of my wedding photography from venues that are similar to Sparkford Hall to show how I approach photographing at this kind of wedding venue.

My wedding photography style is relaxed and informal which is perfect for this type of venue. My focus is on capturing natural moments in a documentary style, rather than posing awkwardly for staged ones. I love photographing creative weddings at quirky venues, with lots of emphasis on fun and laughter and Sparkford Hall is the perfect environment for this.

Exclusive Wedding Venue

Sparkford Hall is a wedding venue where the possibilities are endless. When booking Sparkford Hall you have exclusive use of the Grade II listed Georgian Manor House, which is also licensed to hold marriage ceremonies for up to 80 guests. If you are planning something a little larger then why not have a barn wedding for up to 300 guests.

The secluded grounds are also exclusively yours. If you were looking for fields to hire for weddings there is ample room for a marque, yurts and bell tents for a fun festival wedding vibe.

The rural grounds feature rolling parkland, kitchen garden, paddocks and an apple orchard which all are inhabited by their coloured sheep, shaggy Shetland ponies, chickens, and lots of other wildlife. This makes a great backdrop for your relaxed and laid back wedding photos.

And I can’t forget to mention this is a wedding venue with a nightclub! The subterranean club in the basement of the main house is a big attraction for party-loving couples! Amazing for late-night dancing and party photos!

Two-Day Wedding Venue

Sparkford Hall is the perfect two-day wedding venue as there are 16 rooms between the main house and cottage as well as plenty of space for glamping. There is also a heated outdoor swimming pool ready for a Sunday pool party! And a sauna to unwind an detox at the end of the weekend.

I love photographing at weekend wedding venues and capturing not only the fun of the wedding day but also the family and friends catching up the day before and after the wedding. Weekend long weddings don’t feel rushed and there is an opportunity for me to capture relaxed and intimate photos, helping to tell the full story of your extra fun wedding.
